Adult dating is much different from dating when you are a teen. Puppy love still has heart and soul in it, but the love is blind. You are passionate, but you do not always know what you want from a partner yet. You have not even figured yourself out as a person yet, so you cannot truly appreciate another person'strue self. I honestly believe you must know yourself and love who you are before you can love another person. You have to live life a little and make mistakes in your love life, learn, and grow from them before you can hold a true and lasting relationship.

A lot of my friends have married very young right out of high school. I do not believe that this is a wise decision to make, but i couldn't convince them of that at the time. Now the majority of them have already been divorced before the age of thirty. Now bitter with divorce, they are forced back into adult dating and having to start from scratch. Most don't really know where to start because all they have known are their high school sweethearts. I feel bad for them, but they should have taken the advice of those older and wiser than them who warned them to take it slow.

Adult dating is one of those things that requires you to love just as smart as you do hard. You have to know what you are looking for in a person and also what you are not. Once you have had a few failed relationships you start to realize what you can handle and what you can't from another person. You can often detect warning signs about not being right for a person after dating several people with the same qualities as a person you have dated in the past. No, you are not sayingthe person is not an individual, but they could hold a quality that you have seen in others that is simply not for you. I have gone on several first dates and automatically eliminated a person after that date. For instance,I know how to spot negative guys and heavy drinkers pretty quickly. This saves me a whole lot of heartache and pain during adult dating. Now all I have to do is get my friends up to speed onthe lessonsI have learned over the years andteach themhave missed out on.
